Fortunata

The Southern Home, a division of Outer Banks Trading Group, is the largest online retailer of Fortunata Ceramic Pottery.  Each piece is an elegant and timeless work of art.  Fortunata Pottery has been a favorite of ours for years.  We have multiple pieces throughout our own home.  Start your collection today!

Fortunata inspired by the Italian word for "luck", is a company dedicated to offering the finest quality ceramics, handcrafted for nearly a decade by skilled artisans using a secret and time honored process.

Each Fortunata piece captures the tradition and charm of the ancient Tuscan workshops where the ceramics are skillfully hand thrown using a unique mixture of select clays. Every Fortunata piece is a unique combination of creative design and traditional skills. The company has evolved over the years with its varied collections, renowned artistry and unparalled quality to be the hallmarks of this direct import company.  Evidence of handcrafted work includes the slight color and size variations making the pieces truly one-of-a-kind and highly collectable. Perhaps the most important feature of the Fortunata collection is the unique, heavily distressed, antique look created by uneven glazing.

All items may not be in stock at the time of purchase.  You may contact us to check availability.  Fortunata Pottery is imported from Italy, which could cause delay from time to time.

Q: May the pieces be used outside?
A: The pieces may be used outside in moderate temperatures and protected from the elements.

Q: May the planters and urns be used for planting live plants, flowers, etc.?
A: Yes. But we suggest using a liner inside the piece for planting.

Q: How should Fortunata ceramics be displayed?
A: Our pieces may be used as lamps, garden decor, home accessories, fountains, planters, center pieces and floral arrangements. The possibilities are endless, just be creative.

Q: How do I lift and move my Fortunata ceramics?
A: The handles on the Fortunata pieces are used to enhance the individual pieces, therefore the proper way to lift and move the piece is by the base or body of each piece. Do not pick up by the handles.

Q: How do I care for my Fortunata ceramics?
A: Some of the pieces have a patina finish and should not be washed. Just a soft, dry cloth should be sufficient.
